Coffee pot investment?

I’ve had a variety of machines in the past, and also had a cafe… so I’m well versed in coffee culture, and for convenience, cleanliness, and consistency, it’s hard to top the Nespresso pod machine.

again the nespresso is king here, because I have a broad variety of pods, and i’ve printed and laminated a chart showing the different pods. I can have mild coffee, strong, fruity, bitter, flavouried, and decaf on offer for guests.

sorry Lisa, but the manufacture of solar panels is NOT even remotely green, and the disposal of them is a future nightmare.

if you’re doing this in Australia, I’d say… don’t. no one thinks this is cool anymore.

and I would not put coffee grinds down the drain. there are some plants that love coffee grinds (though not every day) off the top of my head: blueberries, hydrangeas, camellias (cos I have those)

I also have those packed. They are good for adding to the brewed hotel coffee.

The only thing that anyone and everyone could reliably do for the environment is to consume less of everything. Instead we look for ways to consume more while fooling ourselves into feeling good about it and I’m the guiltiest of all. Leisure travel is bad for the environment too so any “holier than thou” discussions of pods or wasting shower water on the forum are always slightly amusing to me.

Very true. Minimalism is probably the one movement that people should be boasting about. [insert my pious posturing here] I’m a fan of it because it’s easier to keep the house clean.
