Yes and I have seen hotels charging a little more for free cancellations. Best to weed the flaky ones out at the start.

I don’t want to force them to stay either. However I cannot afford to be their free travel insurance. They can claim from their yearly travel insurance/credit card/Airbnb etc. All of these have deeper pockets than me.

Yes but they still pretty much have much more flexible policies than airbnb hosts. This is not to compare us to hotels. All I’m saying if for people to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Airbnb doesn’t care.
