They may remove the written review but they told me the stars still stand. And this was me trying to remove my own review of the wrong guest.
You can’t change a review or the star rating. You can only remove it. I thought they had to remove the rating along with the review, but maybe not.
Still, not every guest is aware about the fact that they are able to modify the review anytime. So I am sure that this surely worth a try. Letting them not fairly evaluated make them able to spread disaster and even to go again in your house. This is strategic thinking. You will never receive help from Airbnb on this matter They try to stay balanced and even poor guests are adding money to their business… So please, don’t give 5* just in exchange of their (still only) supposed 5*… And even if you give a high star rating, let’s say 4, spend an extra 10 minutes to fully describe in polite words what was damaging in their behavior… I feel the need to encourage you because I had guests with over 20 bookings in their track, 4.5* rating and they forced me to work 3 days in a row after their 7 days stay… This kind of people worth to wear yellow or red flags and you know what I mean
They can’t modify a review. They can only ask to have it completely removed. And they can’t then write another one.
Yep, indeed, @Muddy, I didn’t spent enough time to make myself very clear about reviews deletion process on guest side and I was pretty sure they can also ask for modifications… And yes, that can induce people in error Thanks for clarification
