Bug - keeps switching spontaneously to unlisted

You know I happen to agree with Santa Monica is doing! Otherwise it gets way too out of hand!

well what are you doing on here then? this is a forum for hosts

Hello, I AM A HOST. And a legal one. And have been for six years. I collect taxes, I have a license. You have to operate legally within the bounds of your community and jurisdiction! And yes, the host should be on property!

@Checco @Danmic83 @Sergio2205 It has been well known, in the media and locally, in Barcelona for at least the last 3 years that you need a Touristic License to rent short term. We all know the current mayor is against anymore permits being issued and have been putting the pressure on Air BNB and other services to clamp down on illegal touristic rentals. As a Barca host with a legal permit, it is very frustrating to be ranked on page 5+ with 50+ review, and a legal rental, because of the ever growing number of illegal rentals. I agree there needs to be a pathway to get a permit for those without, and the current situation is not beneficial to anyone, and especially not our economy!

@konacoconutz Barcelona passed a measure 5-10ish years ago that required permits for short term rentals, this law did not start really becoming enforced until about 18 months ago when they started sending out police to watch tourists and see if they go into illegal rentals. The fines have also steadily risen, and I believe are no 90k + or putting your apartment in the social housing pool. The biggest issue is they stopped issuing permits 3 yrs ago, because the government felt the city was too saturated and disrupting the normal city dwellers. However, its worth noting when they were still issuing permits it was VERY easy to obtain the permit, as long as your council (HOA) didn’t object.

The same thing is happening to me and it’s very annoying. I keep trying to turn my listings off, and they automatically go back on again, and I don’t know until someone tries to book, then I have to deny their booking inquiry, and as a result I get penalized by AirBnB. It’s very frustrating!!! It has happened about about 10 times now that I have had to deny bookings for reservations when I had already selected to be unlisted. I think it must be just on Chrome browser, but come on Airbnb, get it together!. I haven’t been able to reach a human at AirBnB to notify of the issue, so resorting to a forum where my concern will go unheard by the web design department.

@ElsaBella. Your plea for help will go unheard on this forum, since it is not affiliated with AirBNB in an official manner. This is just a group of hosts helping each other out. Try contacting AirBNB via @AirBNBHelp on twitter. That is how I have gotten my best results from them.
