Bostonians, local specifics for starting to host in Boston?

Would anyone familiar with Boston hosting give a helicopter overview of the do’s and don’ts / best practise ?
Looking for a tax, regulatory point of views, be that a house or a condo situation.
Also, I have heard of instances of attempts to pull Airbnb out of Boston (like NYC) due to dissatisfied neighbours, is this a trend to be worried about?
