Best Coffee Pot for AirBnB

I just want to make sure that my guests are wide awake and attentive while they build explosives in my basement, so I guess we just have different priorities

How exactly do you envision someone tampering with coffee beans?

Am I the only one who licks each one before they go into the jar?

How could you possibly know if they are good enough for your guests

This doesn’t make sense. I’ve seen dozens of unsupervised hotel breakfast buffets where guests could tamper with food. I guess covid has put an end to that.

Oh yeah cause there’s just no way that one of your hotel guests couldn’t possibly tamper with or poison the extra K-Cups on the Maid cart in the hall.

Oh pul-lease. Get over yourself. You use K-Cups because it is convenient. You are not remotely concerned about “safety” - you care about PERCEIVED LIABILITY. Period. Jeez just be honest - because it’s perfectly obvious.

LOL! Clearly you have never spent any time in a commercial kitchen.

Seriously - just get off your soapbox. Pul-lease! No one is impressed. Try adding value to the group …

I’m always impressed by how ingenious guests can be.

I leave pads of post it notes for guests. One time I used the top one to write a note to myself and noticed someone had gone through and written pictures on every third or fourth sheets, some of which were not family friendly. It would not have occurred to me to check note pads, but now I do.

That’s just to say I wouldn’t be shocked to hear someone, somewhere, put dirt or something in an open jar of coffee.

I do have keurigs and pods available for guests, as well as individual creamers. I also have drip coffee machines, but they would need to supply the coffee for those.

Though I wouldn’t trust an open anything when I travel, I don’t use the keurig machines either. I prefer a walk to a coffee shop. At home I have a machine that grinds the beans before brewing coffee or espresso by the cup.

So why actually are you here on our lowly AiBnb host site?

Edited to control my rage

Buh Bye

Resumes do not impress. That is called “arguing from a position of authority”. Where one went to school or worked are not valid discussion points. Your words and demeaner indicate who you really are.

Here, away from the Guests that you pretend to be nice to, we see the real Tom: arrogant, pretentious and sad.

Again, you might try offering actual value, as a new member to a long-standing forum.

No, we take issue with how you choose to convey your thoughts. You are continuing to feign innocence, but are clearly aware of your behavior and tone.

Many members have indicated this already. The only one not listening is you.

Why don’t you both take a break. I’m taking an evening to celebrate the end of the year.

And don’t forget to tell it to not let the gate hit it in the ass on its way out!

Hopefully it’s a better loser than Trump.

Well, an old friend who worked at a very prestigious eatery in Honolulu used to breath- spit on the outgoing plates… he became the Maitre D’ of one of the largest and most valuable wine caves west of the Mississippi.

We offer a second hand Cuisinart 2 cup coffee maker and the same kind of grounds in a jar that we drink, a cheap combo of Kona blend and French roast. Never a bad comment or problem. Yes they must get the filters out of a box that someone else touched! If they are worried about germs they can leave the Hideaway and drive 20 minute for their Starbucks fix. I could really g.a.s. However, I’m NOT A COFFEE snob, or a snob of any kind. Just someone who has ECSTATICALLY HAPPY GUESTS…

A very healthy and happy NEW YEARS >>glasses raised in toast and song to 2021!!

I normally hate things with slogans and stuff written on them, but I saw a great set of dish towels/pot holders/ apron once that said “Dog hair is both a condiment and a fashion statement”.

Lucky our dogs are short haired. I am grateful to have kept any guests pets and our dogs out of the hideaway.

We will be rethinking our system when we reopen. We have had individual 4 cup coffee makers in each room with sealed 4 cup packets that go in each one. We have fresh coffee in the kitchen every morning, but may no longer do a breakfast bar. We find that there are so many different tastes in coffee, “creamers” and sweeteners that many guests go find their favorite take-out at coffee shops within walking distance or a short ride. That said, we love our Cuisinart dual mode coffee maker in our kitchen. The metal filter for full pots eliminates paper filters. We also have gadgets that fit in the single cup “Keurig” style side that save the plastic pod use.

Buy the cheapest Mr Coffee you can find, just make sure it has automatic shutoff. As a General Contractor , I’ve seen more than one serious house fire from overheated coffee makers. Coffee makers get funky looking after a lot of use, I buy a new one every year.
