don’t think so it was originally about extra beds used which reflected
extra guests.
I wonder, since the group is staying so long and the main house people seem to be staying the entire time, perhaps they have crossed the line mentally and feel like more than just guests. They could either have thought they are ‘friends’ now and were helping you by fetching the bedding or could have just grown to feel more intimate with you, given the proximity for weeks, such that they did not realise how weird it was to go in. Wondering if they would be shocked to know how offensive it was?
