My listing says my apartment is a 1 BR with 1 bed that accommodates 2 guests. (If the guests are not a couple, I’m OK if the second person sleeps on the couch if they want to do that)
The listing also shows there is no charge for extra guests. I haven’t filled that out because I don’t allow extra guests, so it seems non applicable. It sort of seems that by displaying this they are implying the 2 guest part is an optional limit? Seems confusing for prospective guests and for me. Should I put that there is a $200 charge for guests above 2 just to prohibit this? I would rather the no charge for extra guest not appear since it is not applicable. Though I guess there is a price at which I’d be OK with it, maybe. Is there some field I’m missing?
They won’t be allowed to enter a number of guests greater than 2 when making the booking. Of course they could just show up at the door with 3, but that could happen with any listing and you’d have every right to turn them away. To be sure I have in my house rules ‘maximum number of guests is 2’
I’m not sure if it still works this way, but when I started my listing last May, I put that additional people over 2 would be $100 extra per person. This caused the field in the listing about the charge for extra people to disappear completely.
