If you’re using Windows there is an “app” called Character Map which has all the symbols and letter variations for every font on your computer (not all fonts have the same character and symbols. Also there is the Symbol font and Wingdings and Webdings fonts which have lots of interesting characters.
I put Character Map on my bottom Tool Bar so its always available.

Thanks for the tip. I don’t personally use Windows, but perhaps others will find it useful. Assuming that they want to use such characters, of course.
Unicode is good because everything ought to recognize it, in theory. Cut and paste should also work. I don’t know if that is the case with just any symbols.
