A case study for honesty in reviews of guests

This 100%. When I’m writing a review I often use “you both”, as opposed to specifically naming both guests.

We also have had a fair number of same sex couples, some openly so, others not so. I just don’t feel it’s my place to either “out” them as a couple, or potentially invite judgement down the line by being too specific, especially in south west Spain!

On a similar subject of names, when people scroll down through my reviews, they find when I started this and worked with my ex wife. Former guests used both of our names in their reviews, years ago. People think it’s cute to bring her name in when they first book, even though I changed my profile and it’s pretty obvious that I’m now flying solo. When they greet with both our names I cringe, as it’s a sore subject. Guess there’s nothing I can do, more of a peeve that I’m just complaining about to a kind forum!

At least you know they have read the old reviews then…
