3.5 Star Guest - Booked, But Thoughts?

Yup. Once I read that host’s horrible review and had fabulous communication from her, I didn’t hesitate to book her.

I accepted a booking from a guest with one 1 star review. She gave a reasonable explanation and she was fine. But I like to live dangerously.

lol @her feeling unsafe as the area was ‘non-gentrified’

So basically not enough white people for her liking…

She sounds like a snobby idiot…

Plenty of people try to rent their property long term, while listing on airbnb. Nothing unusual about that.

Actually, she isn’t. This comment reflects poorly on you. The host was vicious (imho) in his feedback - unnecessarily so - which led me to believe that he had encountered this feedback before.

The neighborhood was dicey and she didn’t feel comfortable at that hour with a non-responsive and then abusive host. I would have left as well and I’m from NYC and have lived in some “interesting” areas.
