Our town had recently applied regulations limiting Airbnb to only within your residential unit. We have a 2 family and live upstairs and the Airbnb unit below. How do we find out if we can continue to airbnb downstairs? Thanks

We can’t help. That is something you must take up with your local government agencies.
You’re basically asking what is considered a “residential unit” and @Militaryhorsegal is correct since local regulations can vary drastically. If there’s another host on this forum in the same city, you might get lucky, but you’d have to say what city you’re in, and you probably should put it in the title to get them to read it.
What did your local authority say? Did you have a problem getting a license?
