airbnb did exactly the same and canceled 3 reservations. I understand it but it hurt and again I’m sure some one had trip insurance and double dipped.

we sat empty. It’s not fair to the owners. We took there booking in good faith. Weather was great here. But if I had to cancel the client they would charge between $150-250 I forget the extortion. We chose to put up with it for the extra bookings they get us but…I think they are worth it. Just be prepared for some BS from time to time.

well cabin airbnb will do the same. Hurricane season dead of winter huge storm maybe block those dates. I will I think

All the listing sites are copies of each other, and unfortunately copying all of their worst traits.
