1000 Nights staying at Airbnb's

These senior nomads are racking up 1000 nights in Airbnb’s. Ahhhh…and they do ask possible host for pricing flexibility.

Article is a little older, but stay enough nights and get invited by Airbnb to their Open Meets.

Nice story. They didn’t stay with me, though, so I don’t care.

Just kidding

They almost always ask if the host is flexible on price

Wouldn’t be making us part of their Airbnb adventure then, or a good few other hosts from here

Won’t be staying here, either. I don’t do discounts and I don’t want to be part of their Guiness Book Of World Records push.

At first I thought “no” to discounts but if they stayed with me, they would automatically get a discounted rate. (1500 day /148 stays = >10 days per stay). I discount stays of a week or more.

A retired couple stayed at my condo last year doing something a bit similar.

-Retired late 2016
-Sold big house early 2017
-Found new development for dream retirement home but home not to be completed until fall 2018
-Stored belongings.
-Spent a year traveling USA & Canada & Europe staying almost exclusively at Airbnb’s
-Stayed with me for almost 4 months (was to be 6 weeks while they monitored home completion but hurricane & flooding slowed process)

Pretty :sunglasses: cool way to spend a year.

They could write a book about it—loft rentals with the bed filling the loft & no safety rail (don’t roll over)
Host meeting them at check-in announcing “I’m bi-polar and just went off my meds. I hope you don’t mind things being a little odd while I cleanse my body”
And more

Evidence that not only millennials can go viral, be influencers and ask for discounts.
