Responding to fake sales inquiries

I had to share this with you all – I got a fake “inquiry” for Dec 20-22, “Your place is one of the most marvelous in XX! I want to help you grow, check out… URL”

If we decline - we get dinged for declining. If we accept,they may cancel later even though we have it on Strict, and we just donʻt need the headache, especially right before Xmas. So I remembered this great advice from one of you wonderful people (was it Billy Bob?) – and sent them a special offer with a couple of zeros added on the end. So we are set to earn >$22000 if they accept. ha ha

Did you get an INQUIRY or a Request To Book??? If it is an INQUIRY, then decline – no penalty for declining an Inquiry.

Do make sure you flag the ‘guests’ profile with Airbnb.

Thanks KenH - Next time I know just decline the inquiry. Was it your advice to add the zeros?
