I am looking for a recommendation on a remote controllable power strip that can power off my Security Camera while my home is being rented and then power it on when it is vacant. I do have a SmartThings Hub with Z-Wave. Please let me know if you know of a very reliable power strip, or even one that can only remotely power off/on one device. Price is not an issue as I am looking for the best and most reliable device.
I have an Iris by Lowes smart plug that works on my Zwave network and it works great. I use it to control a lamp in the entryway of my rental.
I do not work with strips but with in-wall relays behind sockets or switches.
I have several qubino relais installed. I run IP-Symcon as a controller.
One of my friends has the z-wave controller linked to his booking calendar. It runs different programs based on occupancy.
