I’ve started checking guests out on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn…I had a woman book in over Xmas (from my town but now living and working in Hong Kong) and as I was visiting my son in London for 3 days this meant leaving her here alone so I wanted to check her out first. She was all over the Internet and quite a big wig in her profession so I was satisfied and when I met her even more so. But I know that’s not always going to be the case especially with foreigners. You do feel like you’re stalking people by doing this but in this day and age at least we have these options.
